Meet Jay & Linda Kordich
Meet Linda Kordich
Linda’s Mission started in 1965 when she became a vegetarian. She became acutely aware of the connection to the intense cruelty done through the slaughtering of animals. By 1990 she became vegan. It was in 1980 where her life changed forever when she met Jay Kordich and started working together the very next day. Her marketing skills and his knowledge made magic. The birth of what we now know as infomercials in 1989 launched Jay’s national career and changed the game for them seemingly overnight, even though they had been teaching for decades. Instead of 10 people at a seminar, now thousands were coming just in one seminar. 11 years the infomercial show ran, which birthed the juicing movement worldwide. Jay became NYT #1 best seller, including covers from some of the most prestigious magazines and newspapers in America. Linda taught juicing along side with Jay, as well as preparing delicious vegan foods to thousands of people across the united states for close to 30 years either through live seminars or through television or Youtube.
Jay died a natural death on Memorial Day in 2017 at the age of 93. He would have been 94 on August 26th, 2017. Linda is now continuing his message as they have spent almost 4 decades together teaching the healing power of Juice Therapy and the Plant Based Lifestyle.
She has written 8 books on Jiuicing since Jay's passing and is quite passionate about reaching people to inspire them to transform their diets, just as Jay did. Jay's teachings are not just priceless, they are timeless!
History:
Linda grew up in vegetarian family dating back to 1965. Becoming a vegetarian at the age of 12 stood her apart from most people in those times. In her late teens, she learned about juicing back in 1967 when her mother first introduced juicing to the family. From then on, it became a daily ritual that she fell in love with.
Linda loves the healing power of living foods and virtuous living a major part of her life. Helping others, and eating and juicing well is the key to a long healthy life.
In 1973, Linda became an undergraduate student in primary education, specializing in understanding children's psychological and emotional challenges. By the time she was 25 she married Jay and started teaching weekly vegetarian food classes for many years with Jay, along with fresh vegetable juicing classes beginning in 1981. In 1992, she helped Jay co-write "The Juiceman's Power of Juicing", and it became a New York Times best seller with over 2 million books sold to date.
Drawing on over 50 years experience with juicing and the vegan lifestyle, in 2006 Linda helped write and produce, their highly successful multimedia program entitled "Live Foods, Live Bodies". She helps to teach, inspire and motivate people to eat more living foods and drink fresh organic juices. Linda is a vibrant and healthy 68. She now lives happily with her husband Carl Loveday who helps spread the juice therapy and plant based lifestyle message.
Linda's Mission Statement:
"To share all that I have learned in the past four decades..... to help uplift, inspire, guide and motivate....to those who are in the dark. Whether it's to guide or to inspire others towards living foods, juicing, hope or faith, this is my passion!"
Meet Jay Kordich - The Juiceman
Jay Kordich was born in 1923 just outside San Diego, California. He grew up in the shadow of his hard working father who was a fisherman and captain of his own fishing boat. Jay learned early on the value of a hard day's work. He also grew and developed the muscles that would serve him well as a football player at the University of Southern California.
In 1948 at the age of 25, Jay was diagnosed with a serious illness and was told he may not have long to live. After reviewing all the treatments available, he left California and traveled to New York City to see Dr. Max Gerson who was treating terminally ill patients with fresh raw juices and healthy cleansing diets. Jay became his patient and immediately began a regimen of large doses of raw carrot/apple juice. It wasn't long before Jay's health was restored and the direction of his life was changed forever.
From a star athlete to surviving a life-threatening illness, all by the age of 26, Jay soon decided he wanted to spread the word of fresh juices and eating a healthy diet.
